Aveve launches 100% peat-free soil improver and peat-reduced potting soil

Aveve, the Belgian market leader in pet food and gardening products and a strong Arvesta brand, is launching a new line of 100% peat-free soil improver and peat-reduced potting soil in February. This updated range is not only good for your garden, but also helps protect vulnerable ecosystems.

Sustainability without compromising on quality

At Aveve, we want to significantly reduce the use of peat in our potting soil range without compromising on quality. Our new potting soils contain 20% less peat and our soil improver is even 100% peat-free.

We are committed to using renewable raw materials to replace the peat in our potting soil range. This makes our potting soil better not only for the planet, but also for your garden. What's more, our packaging is made from 50% recycled plastic. This is how we put our sustainability mission into action.

100% peat-free soil improver

One of the highlights of our new line is the 100% peat-free soil improver. This innovative solution has been specially developed to deliver excellent results in the garden. By replacing peat with compost and other materials, it continues to provide an excellent soil structure that is also rich in nutrients. This will ensure that your plants grow healthily and lushly.

1100 tonnes of CO2 reduction

Our peat reduction project saves 1100 tonnes of CO2. To put this into perspective, this amount of CO2 reduction is comparable to the emissions released when driving approximately 8400 kilometres in an average car. In other words, our project reduces a significant amount of greenhouse gases.
